Procurement Opportunities

For procurement pipeline of work and information about how to register as a supplier see the information below.

For details on the procurement pipeline of work for the Combined Authority and the South Tees Development Corporation click here.

Please note, this is not an exhaustive list of our procurements, but a forward view of larger projects, where we have some certainty of them being undertaken. Other opportunities can be found by registering on the following: https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder.

We may procure using any of the following processes:

Request for quotation:

Should you be invited to submit a quotation you will be sent a notification via the Proactis Portal, where you can submit an expression of interest and download tender documents.

Further competition using an existing framework:

For goods, services and works contracts we may run further competitions using pre-approved frameworks. The below list is not exhaustive but shows the types of frameworks we may use. Suppliers can contact the framework owners for information on future opportunities to bid for places on upcoming frameworks on NEPO, Crown Commerical Service and Pagabo.

Open procurement/Invitation to tender:

For higher value works and services and where a suitable framework is not available, we will run an open procurement. Any suitable provider can tender for the opportunity via the Proactis Portal, where you can submit an expression of interest and download tender documents.

Current live tenders:

To look for current opportunities on the Proactis Portal click here.

Many further public sector opportunities can be found by registering on the following: https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder

Contracts Finder is where all Public Sector contracts will be advertised in line with requirements. Those opportunities which are below threshold or are competed utilising existing frameworks may not be added to contracts finder.

Please note the following can be used to search for Teesworks opportunities:

  • Teesworks
  • South Tees Development Corporation

Any award of contract with a value above £25,000 will mean an award notice is published on contracts finder (https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder). Suppliers may use this information to approach winning bidders for information on sub-contracting opportunities.

The Procurement Act 2023 will go live on 24 February 2025. To support readiness for the new regime, we are running two webinars for suppliers and other external organisations in January. These sessions will focus primarily on what the key changes are, how the central digital platform will work (featuring a live demonstration), and will be an opportunity to ask questions on your own preparations for go-live.

We will record the sessions and make a recording available via our webpages on GOV.UK for those unable to attend.

You can book your place using the links below:
