Headed by Chris Musgrave OBE, the company has established strong working relationships across the UK with multiple Local Authorities and Government organisations and forged successful Joint Venture partnerships, with a proven track record of delivery within the real estate sector. JC Musgrave specialises in complex regeneration projects and has overseen inward investment of over £1 billion with the creation of several thousand jobs.
The Northern Land Management team has extensive experience in the development sector having successfully navigated numerous challenging schemes through the planning system and on to delivery. We work across all land use sectors with a particular emphasis on employment and residential schemes, whether on previously developed sites or new greenfield locations. Over the years we have helped deliver and retain many thousands of jobs within the north east region whilst also bringing forward a substantial number of the region’s new housing sites.
Tees Valley Combined Authority is the public-sector body responsible for driving economic growth, creating jobs and transforming Tees Valley. It is chaired by the Tees Valley Mayor, and together they work with local authority partners to make local decisions that support the growth of the Tees Valley Economy. Teesworks is part of the Tees Valley Combined Authority Group and a major part in the plans for the economic growth of the area. The Combined Authority supports Teesworks, providing a strong link to Government, and has been responsible for helping to secure more than £200million to date to develop the site.
South Tees Development Corporation (STDC) was the first Mayoral Development Corporation outside of London. Teesworks now the site of the UK’s largest Freeport and has been set up to promote the economic growth and commercial development of the Tees Valley by converting assets in the Mayoral Development Corporation Area into opportunities for business investment and economic growth. Chaired by the elected Mayor of the Tees Valley, STDC is tasked with regenerating the Teesworks site, driving forward its redevelopment to create jobs, secure investment and transform the region.
Teesworks is wholly located in the borough of Redcar & Cleveland and as such, works closely with the Local Authority on matters such as planning and regeneration. Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council fully back the vision for the site, and the Council’s flexible planning regime will ensure that a world-class industrial zone is delivered at Teesworks in a timely and sustainable manner.
