On Thursday 18 May, at approximately 2pm, crews will be conducting an explosive demolition to bring down a Flare Stack at the former Redcar Coke Ovens By-products Plant on the Teesworks site.

The 120-metre flare stack and external wind shield will be among the final structures that are being demolished on the Teesworks site. The final explosive demolition on the site is due to take place later next month.

There are no planned external road closures for Thursday’s demolition and disruption to the surrounding area will be kept to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience and would like to thank the community in advance for their understanding.
